Let's Stop and Think for Once

Last week, I think it was Tuesday night, we got a nice amount of rain. Rain is good, unless you're building a house, which I currently happen to be helping with – that's completely unrelated to anything though. The next morning on my way to work I noticed one of the city trucks driving slowly along the edge of the road. They were watering the hanging plants along main street. I thought it was stupid, but shrugged it off. Last night it rained again, this morning.. they were watering the plants again. I can't understand how a schedule can be so inflexible that it doesn't allow for things like this to change.

I brought in candy to work today. Snickers and Payday bars. It seemed like a nice gesture, and I can claim that that was the intention, and I'd be partly truthful. My office is not very well trafficked, so a few people will notice the candy and hopefully help themselves, but for the most part, I think I just put out a bowl of candy for myself.  If I keep it stocked, it'll just help me with my goal of gaining weight (still another 15lbs.)

Wal-mart sells mixed nuts. The 17oz container is $3.96 – the 34oz is $7.98.. buy in bulk and spend more?

If I use the word "McDonald's" somewhere in this post, like right there, will it get more comments? This will be considered a test of what I'll refer to as "The Law of Moose."

    Couple points:
    1) It's nice that you touch on a range of topics here, but might I suggest that if you ever feel like you are gonna run outta blog topics, feel free to break up each topic into a separate blog post. You have some interesting points here that are each worthy of their own post.

    2) Watering plants on a municipal schedule. I have something to say here, but I don't know what.

    3) Ha! I put my candy in a bowl too, which I have to admit is also partly for me. But I figure if I'm gonna have some candy, I might as well just stick it out and see what happens.

    4) Your office is not highly trafficked? What? What about the mice? The mice!

    5) If you want to gain weight, is weight from candy the best way? That doesn't seem like good weight to have. *shrugs*

    6) Just saying the word "McDonalds" in a post does not guarantee more comments. The topic has to be about McDonalds to garner more comments, sillybutt.

    7) Ha. You just left me a voicemail and I'm listening to it right now. I'm my way out the door to watch the Cubs game at Abhay's!

    8) I could have broken up my comments here into 8 separate comments, and that would have brought me up to 37 comments on the list. Instead I'll settle for 30. But in my mind, it's 37. 🙂
