During the process (neverending) of helping build an entire house, I've discovered that I really enjoy landscaping. Planting stuff. Hauling dirt around. Leveling out uneven areas. Digging trenches to redirect water from the massive rainfalls we've had lately…

It's a pain in the ass. My hands usually end up killing me afterward, and it's generally pretty exhausting… but it's FUN and relaxing.

It's one of those things where, if someone said "you have to do this!", I'd absolutely hate it.

I can't believe I ate bologna as a kid! GROSS!

I couldn't even buy the stuff if I wanted to now… ok, I could, but I don't, and I won't.

But as a kid? Woah! It made for a quick sandwich, nothing to cut, nothing to spread, just a slice or two of round meat, maybe a piece of cheese, and some mustard (or mayo if I felt like putting the effort into spreading it) and – SANDWICH. Or, just putting mustard and cheese on a piece of bologna and rolling it up. OR! You know what was really good? Cream cheese spread on bologna, rolled up around one of those little sweet pickles.

Mmmmm… bologna! Oh wait – YUCK!

I thought the original post said that I would announce the winner of the $5 Amazon.com Gift Card on the 15th of this month, but I actually said the 10th! So, I'm late. A bit.

I went to Culver's for lunch (AGAIN!) today. Good stuff, as always.

Today I had a strange craving for a sundae. With a combination of toppings I've never thought of before – peanut butter and Snickers.

I'm not sure where the idea came from, but the combination is ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT.

I'm eating it now as I type. Nomnomnomnomnom!

Inappropirate:
When the focus is taken away from something that is inappropriate, the focus taker is an "inappropirate".

For example: If a coworker makes a horribly inappropriate comment, but then the fire alarm goes off and steals everyone's attention, the fire alarm has become an inappropirate. If the fire alarm was pulled by someone to intentionally distract from the inappropriateness, then the person responsible for the alarm is also to be considered an inappropirate.

Most of the time when I go out to eat I end up ordering a Mountain Dew to drink. It's become almost a habit, even if I don't feel like a Mt Dew (which is rare) I'll still catch myself ordering it without thinking.

Things get a bit screwy when I go to Culver's to eat though. See, Culver's has REALLY good Root Beer, and sometimes it creates a craving that even overpowers my addiction to The Dew. But 90% of the time, that first sip of Root Beer is the most digusting taste EVER! Because I'm so used to Dew coming out of a straw, unless I'm thinking "this is root beer", that first sip always registers as "this Mountain Dew is GROSS!"

Of course, by the second sip I've reached "OMG THIS RT B33R IS TEH AW3S0/V\3!"-land.
(also, note the lack of consistency when referring to Mtn Dew.)
