Push-Ups vs Pull-Ups

Spudart poses the following question on twitter:
Why is doing pull-ups way more fun than push-ups?

I'm sure there are a ton of reasons, here are the ones I can think of.

  • Pull-ups make you feel like a monkey. Push-ups put you right against the floor like a crawling bug. Being a monkey is a lot more fun than being a stupid bug.
  • Pull-ups are like floating. Using just your arms, you completely remove the rest of your body from the earth.
  • Pull-ups need a bar to hang from, which makes it feel like you're a kid on the playground again. This is a lot more fun than being a boring grown-up.

Can you think of any more/better reasons? Leave them in the comments below. 🙂

Push-ups are things people do in the army when you have a drill sargeant yelling over you.

I think that also applies to pull-ups. I think the army makes both of them less fun.
