Wow. I've bitten off more than I can chew.

I'm supposed to be helping build a house. I've got my hands in several websites now. I've just finished my ebay niche blog plugin thing (I'm pretty impressed with myself on this one) and now have to start churning out content and hoping for the money to start flowing in. I've become almost a counselor for a couple friends (this is draining as all hell). And now I'm supposed to be going to Minneapolis this weekend for band stuff.

There's nothing bad in that list, and nothing overly stressful. But all together, I feel friggin exhausted and overwhelmed – but in a good way.

It's times like these, when almost everything is good, that I remember why I'm here.

But wait.. there's more!

You may have noticed a bit of a change in posting frequency, from every weekday to "every whenever". You may not care. 😛

There is a reason though. Several reasons. First, I've been pretty busy at work, which is normally when I take the time to write and post on here. Second, I've been working on my ebay affiliate niche blog script THINGY (EANBST for short). Third, well, that's a secret. A secret that I may announce here in the next coming weeks, once I get it a bit closer to being finished.

For the last couple of weeks, off and on, my car hasn't quite been "feeling right" while driving. There were a few times when it felt like I was driving on a rough road… on roads that I knew usually felt really smooth. It never lasted long, so I just assumed it was a non-issue – maybe a squirrel stuck in my tire throwing off the balance or something.

Last night though.. ugh. Driving home I could feel the car hesitate when I left the first stop light. Then my check engine light came on and I could feel the car stuttering. My first thought was "Oh crap.. my car is going to explode!", so I decided to stop at the gas station, check my oil, and fill up my gas tank before leaving town. I figured if my car was going to explode, I might as well make it as spectacular as possible.

I took it slow leaving the gas station, and my car drove a lot smoother. She still didn't feel right, but I wasn't as worried.

I decided this morning that getting it fixed was more important than going to work, so I did that. It turns out that the parameters in the Engine Control Module (or "ECM" as the guy said.. before I asked him "The what?") were set to be too sensitive. So, basically what was happening was the car was thinking that the engine was mis-firing, so it tried to compensate and caused the engine to – wait for it – mis-fire.

So, all is good. Which is good, because I love my car. She's a trooper.

The basis of magic tricks is.. to trick. To deceive in a way that makes something that is completely possible (even though it may take years of practice to perfect) seem impossible and appear amazing when it's done.

And it's not like the person watching doesn't know that it's a trick. No one calls the cops when the assistant gets cut in half. Instead everyone cheers and claps. "Yay! He pretended to kill his assistant!" … It's a bizarre form of entertainment.

Instead of watching magicians, people should do something much more fun. Like eating strawberry-rhubarb pie.

I smashed the hell out of my hand yesterday. Just typing this hurts like crazy.

Work will be fun.
