Goodbye Hiatus

It's Monday, and as promised (threatened?) my short break from blogging has come to an end. Removing blogging and all other concerns from my life for just a few days has allowed me to sort things out quite a bit. I've solidified a few goals in my head. Basically, I know what I want, but I'm still not sure how to go about getting it.

I've also realized that life likes to play tricks on me.. mostly related to my most important goal. It's almost like the proverbial carrot being dangled in front of a horse.. except in my case, the stick holding the carrot is about 107 miles long. I think that eventually, even the stupidest horse will find a way to get to the carrot…. I happen to be a very stupid horse, and could really use a little help getting there, otherwise I'm afraid I'll do something stupid and lose sight of the carrot forever.

Anyway.. the posting schedule is going to change a bit. There will no longer be saturday/sunday posts – I might throw in an occasional "bonus post" on the weekend, but for the most part these days will be post-free. The saturday lolcat post will move to friday. The other weekdays will continue as they have been.

good luck getting that carrot. but it beats "putting a potato on a string and dragging in through south boston, thanks for coming out" 😛

and you definitely should take the weekend without any kind of responsibilities or obligations and just enjoy those days! relax, have some fun, and unwind after a long busy work week 🙂

Good idea, sparxer. I'm on the same schedule. It's nice to have the saturdays and sundays off. I also found that many of my readers don't read my blog on the weekends, and when monday rolls arounnd, if i posted on the weekend, there's three whompin posts for them to read.

And don't be afraid to take a weekday off every now and then too. I'm a big fan of consistency and having a regular blogging schedule (that way people will be more apt to visit every day), but this is something that should be fun.
